These 9 Israeli startups hope to turn biotech innovations into realities

Nine Israeli startups were selected last week to participate in PlayBeyondBio 2021 and help turn their biotech innovations into market realities.

The PlayBeyondBio initiative is led by venture capital fund JVP, Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, international consulting firm Accenture, Margalit Startup City, Amazon AWS and Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

The companies selected and described in a press release are:

> C2i Genomics, which offers personalized cancer monitoring technology based on standard blood tests

> Nucleai, a precision medicine company that has developed an AI-based image analysis platform to unleash the power of space biology from pathology images

> Itamar Medical Technology Company, which develops non-invasive medical devices and solutions to aid in the diagnosis of sleep breathing disorders and in the early detection of exacerbation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

> Medial Earlysign, which focuses on transforming clinical data into meaningful information that is used to support clinical decisions

> Ibex, a pioneer in the diagnosis of cancer based on AI in pathology

PlayBeyondBio is a six month program. The selected startups are supported by the sponsors to help them put them on a fast track to pilot development, validation and investment so that they can go to market. The program includes mentoring in the medical field, as well as on regulation and business models.
