ISLAMABAD — Kohsar Police have booked two vets along with 12 staff members for harassing and threatening a female dog owner. The dog had died during treatment at a clinic here in the capital, sources said on Saturday.
The two named accused vets have been identified as Dr Dewan and Dr Bilal, they said. On the other hand, a court granted bail before the arrest of the accused.
According to the details, Shumaila Gull, a citizen, filed a complaint with Kohsar Police Station stating that she brought her sick dog to Dr. Rana Clinic at E-7 for medical treatment on 3/9/2022, where doctors provided medicine and sent him home. . She alleged that her dog’s condition was deteriorating on 08/09/2022 and she returned to the clinic. She said doctors advised her to leave the dog at the clinic. She told police she was told by doctors the next day that her dog was dead.
“I went to the clinic again to find out the reason for the death of the dog which the two doctors and their 12 employees harassed and made threats with disastrous consequences,” she said.
The applicant asked the police to register a case against the defendants and to arrest them. The police filed a complaint and opened an investigation. According to reports, a court granted bail prior to the arrest of the defendants and ordered them to appear before the police for further investigation.
