Georges River Council has opened the Kingsgrove Community Center to serve as a COVID-19 testing clinic.
The move follows the designation of the Georges River local government area as an area of ââconcern for COVID.
Managed by Medlab Pathology, the walk-in clinic is open daily, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at 30 Morgan Street, Kingsgrove.
The establishment is wheelchair accessible and does not require a medical referral.
Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene said: âHaving the walk-in clinic in Kingsgrove will make testing more convenient and accessible, so I urge our community to get tested if they have symptoms.
âIt is concerning that Georges River is of concern, but we are all in the same boat. Everyone in our community should be on high alert and continue to follow the NSW Public Health Order.
âThe Council’s priority remains the security of our community. We are looking for additional facilities to support our fight against COVID-19 and will share updates as soon as possible. “
