hisar: Hry Veterinary Docs asks for more staff | Chandigarh News

Hisar: The Haryana Veterinarians Working Committee met Livestock Minister JP Dalal in Hisar on Saturday over their demands for ACPs (Assured Career Advancements) and promotion. In their letter, they demanded the recruitment of Group A vets by amendment to the “Haryana Group A Veterinary Service Rules 1995” which has been pending for 14 years. At present, vets are recruited into group “B” and after the end of a two-year probationary period, become group “A”, they said.
They said 2nd and 3rd ACP (Assured Career Progression) awards are limited to 25% and 20% of the executive workforce after 11 and 17 years of service respectively. “It is requested that the 2nd and 3rd CPAs be awarded upon completion of 10 and 15 years of service respectively without any capping percentage on the number of executives by amendment to the CPA rules,” they said. “Currently, all positions filled with co-directors are filled by officers who have been directly recruited as deputy director (DD) or deputy prefect (SDO). Similarly, most DD positions are filled by officers who were recruited directly as SDOs and only a few DD positions are filled by officers promoted from the veterinarian position.
